Having struggled with addiction for 19 years, she intimately understands the challenges and hardships that come with it. For a decade, she cycled in and out of the criminal system, losing her home, car, clothes, and, most importantly, her connection with her children. Throughout her arduous journey, she experienced firsthand the lack of resources and support available to individuals in her county. There was no one to guide her through the complex web of systems she encountered.
Driven by her own experiences, our founder is determined to be the beacon of support and empowerment that she longed for during her darkest times. She has emerged from her own struggles with an unwavering commitment to helping other women who are being released from jail.
